Nothing has expanded its audio lineup with the Headphone (1) Pro, a premium over-ear wireless headphone that puts the focus on multi-driver audio, active noise cancellation and longer battery life.
The new model features a three-driver audio system, up to 46dB of adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) and up to 68 hours of battery life with ANC switched off.
Nothing has also retained the physical controls introduced with its headphone lineup, allowing users to adjust volume, change tracks and switch listening modes without relying entirely on a smartphone.
The Headphone (1) Pro is currently being launched in the US and other international markets. In the US, sales begin on September 29 at $399, which is roughly ₹38,200 based on the exchange rate cited in the supplied report.

Nothing Headphone (1) Pro: Three-Driver Audio System
The biggest hardware change is the three-driver configuration.
The Headphone (1) Pro combines:
- A 40mm dynamic driver for the main audio range and bass
- A 13×8mm precision dynamic driver designed to handle vocals
- A solid-state xMEMS treble driver for high frequencies
Nothing says the bass driver delivers 15% more punch and 26% higher sensitivity than the company’s earlier Headphone (1).
The xMEMS driver uses a silicon diaphragm, which Nothing says is 95 times stiffer than plastic. The precision driver uses a PEN diaphragm for vocal reproduction.

Dynamic Spatial Audio and Metropolis Tuning
The Headphone (1) Pro supports Dynamic Spatial Audio with upgraded head tracking.
Nothing has also collaborated with London’s Metropolis Studios on the audio tuning.

Add INDYASTORY on GoogleA Studio B mode is designed to recreate the characteristics of the studio environment, while users can select from five Metropolis-tuned sound profiles through the Nothing X app.
Additional audio controls include Flat EQ, Advanced EQ and Personal Sound.
This gives users several ways to adjust the sound profile depending on their preferences and listening environment.
Up to 46dB Adaptive ANC
For noise cancellation, the Headphone (1) Pro uses 10 microphones alongside real-time Adaptive ANC.
Nothing rates the system at up to 46dB of noise cancellation.
The headphones also use an 8mm silicone baffle wall and a two-layer cushion system intended to reduce sound leakage.
A Transparency mode is available for situations where users need to hear their surroundings without removing the headphones.
Physical Controls Remain a Key Feature
Rather than relying exclusively on touch controls, Nothing has retained tactile controls on the Headphone (1) Pro.
The controls include a roller for volume and playback, a paddle for changing tracks and managing calls, and a customisable button for accessing a smart assistant.
There is also a dedicated switch for Flat EQ.
The design allows users to perform common functions without reaching for their phone.
Bluetooth 6.1 and Auracast Support
The Headphone (1) Pro supports Bluetooth 6.1 and dual-device connectivity.
The headphones are compatible with both Android and iOS and support features including:
- Auracast
- Google Fast Pair
- Microsoft Swift Pair
- Auto-wear detection
Auracast is particularly relevant for compatible broadcast-audio environments, while dual-device connectivity allows users to connect the headphones to multiple devices.
Battery Life Up to 68 Hours
Battery performance is another major feature of the Headphone (1) Pro.
Nothing claims up to 68 hours of playback with ANC turned off when using AAC.
With ANC enabled, battery life is rated at up to 30 hours with AAC.
Using LDAC, the figures are up to 53 hours without ANC and 28 hours with ANC.
Nothing also says a five-minute charge can provide up to four hours of playback with ANC turned off.
Actual battery life can vary depending on factors such as codec, volume, connectivity and ANC usage.
Premium Build and Redesigned Comfort
The Headphone (1) Pro uses machined aluminium, titanium alloy arms and Panda Glass as part of its construction.
Nothing has also redesigned the ear cushions and headband with the aim of improving long-session comfort.
The headphones weigh 327 grams and carry an IP52 rating.
The retail package includes a hard-shell carrying case, a 3.5mm audio cable and a USB-C cable.
Nothing Headphone (1) Pro Price and Availability
The Headphone (1) Pro is priced at $399 in the US.
Sales in the US begin on September 29, while availability is also being expanded across international markets.
For Indian buyers, the key detail is that Nothing has not yet announced an official India launch date or India-specific price.
The approximate ₹38,200 figure is a direct currency conversion of the US price and should not be treated as the eventual Indian retail price, which could differ because of taxes, duties, distribution and local pricing.

A Premium Audio Push From Nothing
With the Headphone (1) Pro, Nothing is putting greater emphasis on audio hardware while retaining the distinctive physical-control approach of its headphone lineup.
The combination of three drivers, xMEMS treble technology, Adaptive ANC, Spatial Audio, high-resolution USB-C playback and extended battery life positions the model as a premium over-ear offering.
For Indian consumers, however, the final comparison with competing headphones will have to wait until Nothing confirms the India launch date and official price.
