Britannia Industries is restructuring its senior management team, with N. Venkataraman moving from Chief Financial Officer to Deputy Managing Director and Ramamurthy Jayaraman taking over as CFO from October 1, 2026.
Britannia Industries is set to make changes to its senior management structure from October 1, 2026, with N. Venkataraman appointed as Deputy Managing Director and Ramamurthy Jayaraman taking charge as Chief Financial Officer.
The company disclosed the appointments in a regulatory filing on September 29. The restructuring will separate the company’s finance leadership from Venkataraman’s wider responsibilities covering areas including strategy, legal, secretarial and information technology.
N. Venkataraman to Move Into Deputy MD Role
Venkataraman currently serves as Britannia Industries’ Whole-Time Director and CFO. Under the new structure, he will step down from the CFO position and become Deputy Managing Director for the balance of his existing term, which runs until July 29, 2030.

Venkataraman will continue as a Whole-Time Director and Key Managerial Personnel. His responsibilities will include finance, strategy, legal, secretarial and IT, and he will work alongside Britannia CEO and Managing Director Rakshit Hargave.
Venkataraman joined Britannia in April 2007 and has around four decades of professional experience. Before joining the food and consumer goods company, he headed finance functions at Eicher Motors’ two-wheeler and commercial vehicle businesses.
He began his career with Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) as a management trainee and subsequently worked as a Senior Finance Executive at its joint venture with British Aerospace.
Ramamurthy Jayaraman to Become CFO
Ramamurthy Jayaraman, currently Vice President – Corporate Finance at Britannia, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel from October 1.

Jayaraman has spent around 15 years with Britannia and has held several positions across the company’s finance operations. He is a qualified chartered accountant and company secretary and has more than 22 years of professional experience.
Before joining Britannia, he worked with PwC and Deloitte, where his responsibilities included audits of listed and unlisted companies.

From October 1, Jayaraman will lead Britannia’s core finance operations as CFO, while Venkataraman will continue to provide leadership across finance in addition to strategy, legal, secretarial and IT functions in his new Deputy Managing Director role.
Britannia’s regulatory filing also identifies Rakshit Hargave, N. Venkataraman, Ramamurthy Jayaraman and Company Secretary Sona Rajora as the Key Managerial Personnel authorised to determine the materiality of events and make disclosures to the stock exchanges.

Britannia Industries shares declined 1.83% from the previous close, ending the September 29 trading session at ₹4,825.
The management restructuring comes as Britannia continues to operate with Hargave as CEO and Managing Director, while the latest appointments expand the company’s senior leadership structure and establish a dedicated CFO role under Jayaraman.
