Taylor Kelly’s Eventful ATL has expanded into creative workshops and corporate experiences, with Google and Salesforce among its reported clients.
An Atlanta entrepreneur who began hosting candle-making workshops outside working hours is now building a full-time events business following a corporate layoff.
Taylor Kelly, founder of Eventful ATL, expects the company to generate around $100,000 in revenue in 2026, according to an account published by Business Insider. The projection describes business sales, rather than personal earnings or profit.
Workshops began before the layoff
Kelly started organising evening and weekend workshops after moving to Atlanta in 2023. Candle-making, an interest developed during the pandemic and graduate school, provided the starting point.

A layoff in May 2025 accelerated the decision to pursue the company full-time. The business finished that year with just under $75,000 in revenue, according to Kelly’s account.
| Year | Reported business revenue |
|---|---|
| 2023 | $2,000 |
| 2024 | $16,000 |
| 2025 | Just under $75,000 |
| 2026 | Around $100,000 projected |
Figures are based on the founder’s account; the 2026 amount is a forecast.
The business sells experiences, not just candles
Eventful ATL’s current website lists candle-making alongside pasta-making, flower-arranging, tea-blending, pottery and tasting experiences.
Customers can book public classes or arrange private events. Its corporate offering includes team-building workshops, client gatherings and customised activities, combining instruction with event planning and on-site support.

Corporate work adds another customer base
Kelly reported hosting 15 to 20 events a month and working with instructors and contractors as the business expanded.
The company has also publicly identified Google and Salesforce among organisations it has worked with. Those relationships are described as event work, rather than investment in the business or a formal endorsement of all its services.

Add INDYASTORY on GoogleWhy the revenue distinction matters
Reaching $100,000 in annual revenue would be a milestone, but it would not establish how much Kelly takes home.
Materials, instructor payments, venue expenses, marketing and other operating costs must be considered before calculating profit. The reporting reviewed does not provide a complete expense breakdown or establish the founder’s personal income.
The progression also matters: the venture had paying customers before the layoff. It was an existing side business that became a full-time commitment, rather than a company created entirely from scratch after job loss.
Expansion remains a future ambition
Kelly has discussed pursuing more brand partnerships in 2027 and potentially taking the business into markets such as Miami and New York.
Those are growth ambitions, not confirmed launches. For now, Eventful ATL’s public offering remains centred on Atlanta workshops, private experiences and corporate events.
