In an exclusive interaction with Indya Story, Priya spoke about the realities of television acting, the challenges of managing demanding schedules, and the determination required to build a successful career in the industry.

Managing the Fast-Paced World of Television

Television production often involves long working hours, quick scene transitions, and the need to portray different emotions within a short span of time. According to Priya, adaptability is one of the most important skills for actors today.

“Every profession requires multitasking, but television makes it even more essential. Actors often have to switch between different emotions, scenes, and appearances in a single day,” she said.

Priya explained that maintaining focus is key to handling the pressure that comes with daily television shoots.

“I prefer taking one scene at a time instead of thinking about everything together. Over time, this approach becomes part of your routine and helps you stay mentally prepared,” she shared.

‘Acting Requires More Than Glamour’

While acting is often viewed as a glamorous profession, Priya believes the reality behind the scenes is far more demanding.

“Acting is not easy, and it is certainly not for everyone,” she said.

According to her, the profession requires patience, discipline, resilience, and emotional strength.

“People often see the glamour, but they don’t always see the long hours, constant pressure, and the challenges that actors face. Rejections are also a part of the journey. Passion is what keeps you moving forward despite these obstacles,” she added.

A Dream That Started in Childhood

Unlike many performers who discover acting later in life, Priya says she always knew where her heart belonged.

“I was the child who would stand in front of a mirror, perform dialogues, and dance for hours. Acting was never a second option for me—it was always the dream,” she recalled.

She believes that staying focused on that dream helped her navigate the ups and downs of her career.

“I feel fortunate that I am living the life I always imagined for myself. It’s a wonderful feeling when your passion turns into your profession,” Priya said.

Why Television Holds a Special Place

Despite the rapid growth of digital platforms and streaming content, Priya believes television continues to offer unique opportunities for actors.

“Television provides stability and consistency. It allows actors to work continuously while developing their craft,” she explained.

She also highlighted the strong connection television actors build with viewers.

“You become a part of people’s daily lives. The audience watches you regularly, follows your journey, and forms a genuine connection with your character. That relationship is very special,” she said.

Advice for Aspiring Actors

Having experienced both opportunities and setbacks in her career, Priya has a clear message for newcomers entering the entertainment industry.

“Rejection is a part of the process. If something doesn’t work out, don’t lose confidence. Often, things happen for a reason,” she advised.

She encouraged aspiring actors to remain committed to improving their skills and maintaining patience throughout their journey.

“Stay consistent, keep learning, and continue working on yourself. Success rarely comes overnight, but persistence eventually pays off,” Priya added.

Looking Ahead

With Vasudha continuing to engage audiences, Priya Thakur remains focused on growing as a performer and taking on new challenges in her career. Her story serves as a reminder that talent, dedication, and perseverance remain at the heart of success in the entertainment industry.

As television continues to evolve, Priya’s journey reflects the commitment and passion required to thrive in one of India’s most competitive creative fields.
