The project marks:

Production began two months later and continued for nearly a year before filming concluded in April. Since then, post-production work has been progressing steadily ahead of the theatrical release.
The film is produced by Sun Pictures and presented by Kalanithi Maran.
Why Jailer 2 Is One of the Year’s Biggest Releases
The original Jailer emerged as one of the biggest Tamil blockbusters of its time, earning praise for its action, star-studded cameos, music, and Rajinikanth’s commanding screen presence.
With a larger cast, expanded scale, multiple industry stars, and Nelson Dilipkumar returning to direct, expectations for the sequel are exceptionally high.
The announcement teaser has already generated significant buzz online, and with the October 15 release date now locked in, Jailer 2 is set to become one of the most closely watched releases on the Indian cinema calendar.
