Tia Bajpai is making waves with her latest multilingual album, Love Mafia, an 11-song journey exploring the intensity, loyalty, and emotional courage of love. Sung across five languages—English, Hindi, Swahili, Korean, and Latin—the album reflects both global soundscapes and deeply Indian emotional textures.

Why Love Mafia?

Tia explains the album’s concept:

“The word mafia is usually associated with power, control, loyalty, and a certain unspoken code. Love is not very different. When you love deeply, logic doesn’t always exist. There is loyalty without contracts, sacrifices without guarantees, and emotions that can protect or destroy you.”

The album seeks to remind listeners that real love demands courage, patience, and sometimes even pain, countering the modern trend of disposable, fleeting relationships.

The Emotional Goal

Tia adds,

“People are quick to enter, quick to exit, and even quicker to replace. Love demands depth. If even a few listeners pause and reflect on what love really means, then Love Mafia has succeeded.”

Her approach mirrors her acting philosophy on OTT platforms, where long-form storytelling allows viewers to immerse themselves in characters’ layered emotions.

Sound and Style

The album strikes a balance between global production quality and Indian melodic soul. Tia says:

“The sound is international, but the emotion is rooted in India. Each track carries cultural texture, poetry, and a feeling of depth that transcends language.”

Collaboration With Prince Romal

Producer Prince Romal offered a flexible yet structured environment:

“There were moments of clear direction and moments of creative freedom. That’s where the magic happens—you can’t manufacture emotion; you have to live it.”

Multilingual Music, Universal Emotion

Working across languages taught Tia a key lesson: emotion transcends words.

“Whether in Hindi or Korean, the feeling must remain honest. Love, heartbreak, and longing feel the same across cultures, even if expressed differently.”

Misconceptions About Independence

Tia emphasizes the challenges of being an independent artist:

“Independence doesn’t mean ease. You are your own support system, risk-taker, and decision-maker. Every choice matters.”

Why Albums Matter

“A song is a moment; an album is a journey. Each track is a chapter that together forms a larger narrative. It’s immersive, like a long-format series on OTT platforms.”

The Future of Independent Music

Tia sees a boundary-less, collaborative future:

“Artists will work across cultures and languages. Authenticity will matter more than volume. Independent music and OTT content will reflect real, layered storytelling.”

Most Challenging Track

Some tracks forced her to revisit vulnerable emotions:

“It was difficult, but cathartic. That vulnerability reminds me why I became an artist and fuels my acting too.”

On Modern Relationships

“People still want loyalty and emotional courage, but vulnerability is uncomfortable. Real connection requires risk. That tension is what I explore in music and acting.”

Global vs. Bollywood Creative Process

Tia notes the difference in collaboration:

“Internationally, there’s open exchange and less hierarchy. Bollywood has structure and legacy. OTT is bridging the gap—blending realism with scale.”

What’s Next

Tia plans to continue experimenting with music and acting:

“I want to explore new sounds, collaborate globally, and tell stories that connect deeply. Music, acting, storytelling—they’re all forms of the same expression.”
