Nita Ambani made a striking style statement at a recent event hosted at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai. The occasion marked an important announcement, as the cultural centre will now open its doors to students from across India and internationally.
For the event, Nita Ambani chose a traditional ensemble that reflected her continued support for Indian craftsmanship. She wore a handwoven Banarasi silk saree, paired with heritage jewellery from her personal collection, creating a look that drew widespread appreciation.
A Celebration of Craftsmanship
Known for promoting Indian textiles, Nita Ambani selected a Banarasi saree sourced from Swadesh. The piece was handwoven by master weaver Shri Amresh Kushwaha along with Angika Kushwaha, and reportedly took several months to complete.
The saree featured intricate floral motifs crafted in gold and silver threads, complemented by a broad border and a richly detailed pallu. The design balanced traditional artistry with a refined, contemporary appeal.
Elegant Styling
She styled the saree in a classic drape, allowing the pallu to fall gracefully over her shoulder. The outfit was paired with a custom-designed blouse by Anamika Khanna. The blouse, made with delicate Chantilly lace, featured subtle embellishments, half sleeves, and a structured silhouette that enhanced the overall look.
Her jewellery added a statement touch. Nita Ambani wore a Polki diamond choker along with matching earrings, bangles, and a statement ring, all complementing the richness of the saree.
Beauty and Hair
Her makeup look remained polished and balanced, featuring defined eyes, soft lip color, and a luminous finish. A dark blue bindi added a traditional accent. She completed her appearance with softly styled hair, left open in a side-parted blowout with gentle waves.
The Event and Vision
During the event, Nita Ambani shared personal reflections from her early years, recalling her journey in dance and the role it played in shaping her confidence and passion for the arts. Building on that experience, she announced her vision to make NMACC more accessible to students and young learners.
