Shark Tank India Season 4, Episode 10: Little Champs of India Take Center Stage, Make Sharks Loosen Their Ties
As Shark Tank India Season 4 completes its second week, viewers have been captivated by numerous pitches, impressive deals, and significant investments made on the show. Among the highlights are the words of wisdom shared by the diverse panel of Sharks this season.
In today’s Campus Special episode, Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (CEO of Sugar Cosmetics), Aman Gupta (Co-founder of Boat), Peyush Bansal (CEO of Lenskart), and Anupam Mittal (Founder of Shaadi.com) shared smiles and struck deals with young, budding entrepreneurs ready to make waves in the business world.
Focusing on solving problems relevant to their age group, today’s episode featured pitchers aged 16 to 21 presenting their innovative ideas and businesses, ranging from career counseling to customized gifting.
The first pitch set the tone for the episode as Dyumna Madan, co-founder of Project Clay, brought youthful energy and enthusiasm to the stage. This 19-year-old from Goa, along with her co-founder Shivom Sood, started Project Clay to connect students aspiring to study abroad with current students at their dream universities through what they call an “elder sibling approach.” Vineeta aptly described Dyumna as a "patakha," while her inspiring journey made Anupam loosen his tie. Did her extraordinary story help her secure ₹15 lakh for 10% equity?
To match this energy, a 16-year-old boy, Meet Deore, from Pune entered riding his self-designed motorcycle under his brand, Deni Bikes. With a passion for motors from childhood, Meet created an electric stirrer in the 2nd standard and built an electric go-kart by the age of 10. Currently in the 11th standard and aspiring to study mechanical engineering, he introduced the Sharks to Deni Alpha, an affordable electric bike designed for young bikers like himself. While Anupam encouraged him to focus entirely on the project, did Meet secure an offer matching his original ask of ₹30 lakh for 10% equity?
The next pitcher, Khushi Mandik, could hardly contain her excitement as she met her role model, Vineeta Singh, after persistently emailing Sugar Cosmetics every Monday. The proud owner of The Pretty Little Shop, an Instagram-based customized gifting business, Khushi started her venture to provide personalized gifting solutions for millennials and Gen Z. Offering products like polaroids, keychains, music plates, and more at affordable prices, this 21-year-old dreams of transforming her small business into a Pretty Big Shop.
Seeking an investment of ₹30 lakh for 10% equity, Khushi plans to scale her business by building a team, introducing machine-based production for gifts, and eventually opening offline stores. Will the Sharks fund her vision, just as she funded her higher education through the revenue from her business?
Next week promises to be even more action-packed, filled with discussions, debates, and exciting deals. Catch all the latest episodes of Shark Tank India Season 4 at 8 PM, Monday to Friday, only on Sony LIV.
