"Pushpa 2: The Rule" has seen a significant decline in its box office performance, reaching a global total of ₹1731.65 crore by Day 45. Despite an initial strong run, the film experienced a 61.58% drop in earnings during its 6th week, falling short of its projected ₹1800 crore target. This puts it behind the records of Baahubali 2 and Dangal, which continue to dominate the box office.
"Pushpa 2: The Rule" released its highly anticipated extended cut on January 17, but it failed to reignite the box office momentum as hoped. Despite the addition of 20 extra minutes, the film's earnings have significantly declined, with a 61.58% drop in its 6th week. By Day 45, the film had earned ₹1731.65 crore globally, still falling ₹100 crore short of its earlier reported ₹1831 crore milestone as claimed by the makers on January 6.
The film’s overseas collection stands at ₹270.5 crore, but it remains behind Baahubali 2 (₹1790 crore) and Dangal (₹2070 crore) in terms of worldwide earnings. Despite approaching Baahubali 2's record, the current momentum suggests that Pushpa 2 is unlikely to surpass the ₹1800 crore mark.
On its 7th Saturday, January 18, the film earned an estimated ₹1.1 crore, with ₹0.3 crore from Telugu and ₹0.8 crore from Hindi. Earnings in Kannada and Malayalam have stalled, and the Tamil version has seen minimal earnings.
As of now, the film’s total earnings in India Net are ₹1226.75 crore.
