**"The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), in partnership with the Adani Group, is providing meals to nearly one lakh people daily at the ongoing Maha Kumbh, an official from the spiritual organization said.
At a camp on Harshvardhan Marg, ISKCON's kitchen prepares food for 30,000-35,000 people per session, serving over one lakh people across three sessions daily, its Director (CSR), Madhukant Das, told PTI."**
"ISKCON's food—comprising dal, chole or rajma, vegetables, roti, rice, and sweets like halwa or boondi laddu—is completely balanced. These meals are prepared on a clay stove using a fire of wood and cow dung cakes, which enhances their taste, he added."
"Das said meals are being distributed at 40 centers across Prayagraj, including bus stands, railway stations, and several holding areas where devotees gather on the main bathing days.
He also noted that food is being provided to 15,000 employees engaged in cleaning activities at the fair and surrounding areas. ISKCON has set up three kitchens across Prayagraj, located at Khusrobagh near the Prayagraj junction, Netra Kumbh in Sector 6, and the ISKCON temple premises in Sector 19, where food prasad is prepared and distributed. ISKCON begins preparing cow dung cakes six months before the start of the fair to support its operations.
Das further stated that 100 vehicles provided by the Adani Group have been deployed for food distribution. Around 3,000 to 3,500 volunteers from the Adani Group and ISKCON are participating in the service. He highlighted that the entire project is environmentally friendly, with no plastic being used during the 45-day fair.
Another ISKCON official mentioned that the collaboration with the Adani Group has increased ISKCON's capacity to distribute food prasad by 8-10 times.
An Adani Group official shared that the company’s team is highly enthusiastic about serving at the Maha Kumbh Mela. The company launched a portal for volunteers, receiving 4,000 applications in a single day—far exceeding expectations. Officials also noted that vice president and general manager-level executives from the Adani Group are participating in the service, with employees and officials joining in batches of 100-150."
